Terms of Use

1. Agreement

By downloading or using Faraday (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Sonia Labs Inc.(“we,” “us,” or “our”).

Your use of the App is also governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), which is incorporated here by reference.

2. Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Faraday on any Apple device you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms and the App Store Terms of Service.

You may not: copy, modify, or distribute the App; reverse-engineer or attempt to extract source code; use the App for any unlawful purpose; or sublicence or sell access to the App.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Subscription disclosure

  • Faraday Pro is available as an auto-renewable subscription.
  • Pricing: $1.99 USD per week, or $24.99 USD per year. Prices may vary by region and are shown in the App Store before purchase.
  • Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your chosen plan.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID Account Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Subscription state is managed via RevenueCat. Apple processes all payments — we do not store or have access to any payment card information. Refund requests are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policy. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

4. Not a medical device

Faraday is a personal wellness and habit-building application. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

The Scanner uses Apple's CoreBluetooth API to detect nearby Bluetooth devices. The Exposure Score is a relative measure of nearby Bluetooth activity intended for personal awareness only — it does not measure electromagnetic fields, radiation, or any health risk. Do not rely on Faraday for any health or medical decision.

5. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Faraday. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Apple or Google account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

6. Intellectual property

All content, design, trademarks, and code in the App are the property of Sonia Labs Inc. or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SONIA LABS INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA OR GOODWILL ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance.
